How much do you charge?

Ask before I start the job, but generally $60 an hour, plus mileage. But if it is a custom job, like building a custom computer, creating a custom length of cable, it will be a set price based on whatever custom creation is being bought.

What type of security systems do you like to install?

There are many types out there but I prefer D-Link Security Systems, they make several good clear indoor and outdoor cameras to choose from and they have their own software specifically for their equipment.

What is Cat5e and Cat6 cabling and which is better?

Catagory 5e and Catagory 6 cabling are the names giving to the current types of cable widely used to transport data between your computer and the internet. Catagory 6 cabling is better than Catagory 5e cabling because of the added protection from data corruption and interference between wire pairs.

My information on my thumb/flash drive is missing, can you find it?

Maybe, it depends on how it went missing. Thumb drives work differently than hard drives, they utilize an internal battery that constantly keeps the memory on the drive, if that battery goes out the data will be lost completely. Hard drives on the other hand work differently, so if something goes bad on a hard drive there is a good chance that some or all of the data can be recovered.

Can you make a custom length cable and how much will it cost?

Yes, if it is Cat6 or Cat5e you not only get a choice of length but also what color, if it is coax you can have any length and any color so long as it is black. As for the price it is based on what type of cable, the color chosen, and the length desired, feel free to email me with what you want and ask how much it will cost.
